Chennai: Google Street View offers a 360-degree view of small towns and villages. Currently this feature is now available for use in many places in India.
Google introduced this feature in 2016. However, in India this feature was introduced in Google Maps last year. However, due to security reasons, it was only available for use in a few places. It is reported that most of the locations in India can now be seen in the Street View feature. It can be used in mobile app and web version. Only public places can be viewed through this feature.
For now, this feature only allows you to view a 360-degree view of a location. This does not allow for real-time guidance (detections) on Google Maps. Google is currently testing this feature. This is known as immersive view.
How to use?
- Open Google Maps
- In it users have to choose their desired location
- Next you need to switch to Street View mode via the Layers feature in Google Maps
- Streets in that location are shown as dashed in blue. Click on it.
- Then you can get a 360 degree street view of that street. You can see the place in front, behind and sideways with the map.
Don’t miss out!
