Madurai has been shocked by the arrest of 6 people including his wife and BJP executives in the case of film actor Venkatesh being kidnapped in a car and his legs broken.
Venkatesh is a small screen actor who lives in Postal Thandi Nagar area of Madurai. He is famous for participating in television comedy shows.
Actor Venkatesh has been acting in TV shows and movies as well as running an advertising agency in Madurai through which he has been coordinating various programs. Also, he used to perform and post political opinions on social media.
It is also said that some members of the BJP have threatened him because he recently expressed his views against the BJP on social media.
In this situation, a gang kidnapped him on the 15th and beat him severely on his leg. The gang left a piece of saffron there.
Hearing the screams of Venkatesh, the residents of the area informed the Tallakulam police station, who immediately came to rescue Venkatesh and admitted him to the hospital.
When the police were questioned about the matter, they said, “Venkatesh had an extramarital affair with a woman from Coimbatore. When his wife Banumathi came to know this, she reprimanded Venkatesh. Due to this, there have been frequent arguments between the two
Meanwhile, Venkatesh has sent a notice to divorce his wife. While the case is going on in the court, both have been living in the same house.
Banumathi, who decided that her husband should live with her only, told her driver Mohan, “I want to break Venkatesh’s leg and make him stay at home”.
After that, Banumathi spoke about her husband to her cousin Vairamuthu, who is an executive in Madurai district BJP. Vairamuthu, who was already angry with Venkatesh for criticizing the BJP and posted on social media, took advantage of this opportunity to plan with the driver Mohan on the night of the 15th and kidnapped Venkatesh while he was coming in the car and took him to Naganakulam Kanmai area.
Rajkumar, Malaichami, Anandraj and Vairamuthu who were waiting there hit both legs of Venkatesh with sticks and left.
When the bystanders heard Venkatesh’s screams and informed the Tallakulam police station, the police went and rescued Venkatesh and admitted him to the hospital.
Based on his complaint, we have registered a case and are investigating,” he said.
In this situation, 6 people namely Venkatesh’s wife Banumathi, Rajkumar, Mohan, Vairamuthu, Malaichami and Anandraj have been arrested. They are looking for Tulsi who is absconding.
