Madhya Pradesh | PM Modi inaugurated 5 Vande Bharat Express trains from Bhopal

Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off 5 Vande Bharat Express trains to various major cities of the country from the Madhya Pradesh capital.

Prime Minister Modi visited Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal and inaugurated two trains live and three through video. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patil, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Jyotiraditya Scindia were present on the occasion.

Trains inaugurated by PM Modi: Rani Kamalabadi – Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express, Khajuraho – Bhopal – Indore Vande Bharat Express, Madgaon (Goa) – Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, Dharwad – Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, Hadia – Patna Vande Bharat Express

In this, Rani Kamalabadi – Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect Mahakausal (Jabalpur) with central region of Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal). The link will benefit the tourist destinations of Peragat, Pachmargi and Satpura. This Vande Bharat train departs 30 minutes earlier than other express trains plying this route.

Khajuraho – Bhopal – Indore Vande Bharat Express connects Malwa (Indore) and Bundelkhand (Khajurako) regions with Central Region (Bhopal). This express will benefit the tourists as it goes to major tourist destinations such as Maha Kaleshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Khajuraho and Panna. This train is 2 hours 30 minutes faster than other express trains plying this route.

Madkan (Goa) – Mumbai Vande Bharat Express is the first Vande Bharat train to Goa. It runs from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Railway Station to Goa’s Madgaon. The Vande Bharat train will save an hour over the speed of other trains connecting these two destinations.

The Dharwad – Bengaluru Vande Bharat train will connect the major cities of Karnataka like Dharwad, Hubli and Davangre with the state capital Bengaluru. Hadia – Patna Vande Bharat Express is the first Vande Bharat Express train for Jharkhand and Bihar.

Earlier, in a tweet on Monday, PM Modi had said that these trains will help improve the connectivity of the states of Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Bihar and Jharkhand. It is to be noted that this is the first time that 5 Vande Bharat trains will be launched at the same time.
