Gandhivadi Selvaraj hails from Kodumbalur village near Viralimalai in Pudukottai district. He has been continuously campaigning for an order to remove the encroached commercial shops and residences in the Chatramkulam catchment area of Kodumbalur.
In this situation, he came to the district collector’s office with Aadhaar card, ration card and voter ID card to submit the petition. At that time, the officials did not remove the encroachments despite the High Court order. I don’t like living in a town where there are such officials. I submit all documents including my Aadhaar card. Send me to the Kailasa country built by Nityananda,” he demanded from the District Collector and shouted at the officials.

In this regard, in his petition to the District Collector, “We filed a case in Madurai High Court Branch in 2016 regarding encroachment. The verdict in this case was given in 2017. Within 12 weeks of the verdict, they had issued an order to remove the encroachments in the Kodumbalur Chatram catchment area.
