Chennai: Commenting on actor Vijay’s statement that students should study Ambedkar, Periyar and Kamaraj, director Vethimaran said that Anna should also study Ambedkar, Periyar and Kamaraj.
On behalf of actor Vijay’s People’s Movement, an event was held yesterday (June 17) in Chennai – Neelangarai area to award certificates and incentives to the students who obtained the best marks in the 10th and 12th general examination held in Tamil Nadu year 2023. Vijay participated in this and addressed. The event was attended by many students, students, parents, Vijay People’s Movement administrators and fans.
Speaking on this program, Vijay said, “The reason for organizing this event is because of a dialogue from a movie that I heard recently. ‘If there is a forest, it will be taken away, if there is a tree, it will be taken away, but only education can never be taken away from you’. That is the verse. This is hundred percent truth and reality. One such importance is education. I wanted to do something about it on my end. This is the time for that,” he said. He also said that students should read about leaders like Ambedkar, Periyar, Kamaraj.
Today, reporters questioned director Vethimaran about actor Vijay quoting a line from the movie ‘Asuran’. Responding to this, Vethimaran said, “I see a great example of the positive impact that the verse has had when something we say through cinema has reached a person who has an impact on the society. I think everyone should read Anna along with Periyar, Ambedkar, Kamaraj,” he said.
