In 2019, Thirupuvanam Ramalingam, the former city secretary of the BJP, was murdered in Thanjavur. The NIA suspects that various religious conversion disputes are behind the murder and that the STPI and Popular Front of India organizations are involved in the murder. So, NIA is investigating this case. In this situation, the NIA officers conducted raids at around 24 places in 9 districts including Trichy, Thanjavur and Nellai today.
In connection with this case, the National Investigation Agency officials raided the house of Nellie Mubarak, State President of STPI Party. Nellie Mubarak spoke to the media after the ordeal that lasted for about 4 hours. Then, “National Intelligence Agency officials raided my house this morning. They found nothing in this test. This raid was conducted with political vandalism.
As we are protesting against the central government, the central government is doing politics against us in front of the National Intelligence Agency. By this, BJP aims for the next government. We will deal legally with this case which has nothing to do with the STBI party. If such false cases and false trials are intended to tarnish the name of the party, then the STPI party will mobilize people and fight against it.
They searched my house since morning and could not find any evidence related to the case. After spreading the news to the media, they have seized only my mobile phone. NIA is to Muslim organizations as the enforcement department is to DMK in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, we are exposing the anti-people activities of the Bharatiya Janata government in the People’s Forum.
