On June 13, enforcement officials began raiding Senthil Balaji’s residence on Greenways Road, Chennai. The excitement that started then continues to affect the politics of Tamil Nadu. Minister Senthil Balaji suffered chest pain and was admitted to Omanturar Hospital after the enforcement department informed him that he would be arrested. The medical report revealed that there were three blockages in the blood vessels. Later he was shifted to Kaveri Hospital with the permission of the court and is currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, Senthil Balaji’s side filed a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the primary session court and the enforcement department filed a petition to take him into custody. The judges hearing the case rejected the bail plea and granted permission to interrogate Senthil Balaji by taking him in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate for eight days.
