Petition to the High Court seeking a ban on the release of the film 'Mamannan'

Chennai: A petition has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking a ban on Udayanidhi Stalin-Vadivelu starrer ‘Mamannan’ directed by Mari Selvaraj.

In a petition filed by Ramasaravanan, the owner of OST Films in the Chennai High Court, it was decided to produce the film ‘Angel’ under the direction of KS Adiyaman and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Anandi, Payal Rajput, Yogi Babu and others. The shooting for this started in 2018 and 80 percent of the shooting has been completed. Udhayanidhi Stalin has acted in ‘Mamannan’ without completing ‘Angel’ in the context of twenty percent shooting. Also, he has said that this film is his last film.

13 crore rupees have been spent on ‘Angel’ so far. If Mamannan releases the film without completing the film ‘Angel’, he will suffer a huge loss.
According to the contract signed for the film ‘Angel’, Udayanidhi is ignoring the call sheet for eight days.

So, Udayanidhi has to complete the rest of the shooting of ‘Angel’. 25 crore as compensation should be ordered. Until then, he had demanded an interim ban on the release of the film ‘Mamannan’.

The petition is expected to be heard soon.
