Kong. UPA likely to form government for 3rd term: Kapil Sibal

New Delhi: Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal has said that the United Progressive Alliance will win next year’s Lok Sabha elections and form the government for the 3rd term.

Lok Sabha elections will be held next year. Opposition parties are trying to unite to defeat the ruling BJP. As part of this, a meeting of opposition leaders will be held on the 23rd in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Bihar Chief Minister and United Janata Dal leader Nitish Kumar is making arrangements for this. Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge, former President Rahul Gandhi, Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee, Aam Aadmi Party National Coordinator Arvind Kejriwal and others are expected to participate. In this they are going to consult about forming an alliance against the BJP.

In this case, Kapil Sibal, a member of the Rajya Sabha who resigned from the Congress party, said in an interview to the PTI news agency:

The result of the Karnataka assembly election is an example of how the ruling BJP can be defeated at the centre. Next year’s Lok Sabha elections should not be against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rather it should be against the ideology he wants to promote.

Opposition parties should have 3 characteristics: a common purpose, activities that reflect it, and an attitude of giving up on the issue of constituency distribution. If so, there is a chance that UPA will win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and form the government for the 3rd term. He said this.
