Meerut: A sweet shop operating in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has announced that a prize of Rs 71,000 will be given if a person eats a 12 kg samosa within 30 minutes. This mega size samosa is called ‘Baahubali Samosa’. These samosas are prepared by the chef with potato, peas and special spices and served with chutney to food lovers.
Shubham Kaushal, the owner of the sweet shop, pioneered this idea. He said that he has done this to popularize his business and to attract new customers. He also says it will be a fun challenge for his clients.
It is reported that no one has won this samosa eating challenge so far. At most one customer eats about 9 kg of samosas in 25 minutes. Kaushal said that he is sure that one customer will win this challenge. He said that it will continue till then. This Baahubali Samosa is priced at Rs.1,100.
It has received a mixed response from customers. Some have expressed their eagerness to participate in this samosa challenge if they can. For some, this is too much. They say that it cannot be eaten. We are reminded of the Parotta comedy scene from the movie ‘Vanilla Kabadik Khooru’.
