Director Om Rawat has tried to give screen form to the last few chapters of Valmiki Ramayana. A ‘disclaimer’ explanation is shown that although it is a Ramayana story, some changes have been made for cinema. But, not a few, but many changes have been made and tested. The first million dollar question is why the names like Raghavan, Janaki, Bajrang, Seshu and Lankesh were omitted from names like Rama, Sita, Anjaneya, Lakshmana and Ravana. From the beginning to the end of the film, ‘Why? for what How?’ The screenplay and the making prompt us to ask such questions in many places.
