
Have you linked PAN with Aadhaar? The last date to link PAN card with Aadhaar is 30th. The deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar has been extended several times. In continuation of this, last March, this deadline has been set as June 30. And now a fine of Rs.1,000 has been imposed on those who link Aadhaar with PAN number.
In addition to this, the Income Tax Department has tweeted on its Twitter page that if Aadhaar is not linked with the PAN number, the PAN card will become inactive.
It is also said that outstanding refunds and interest will not be due, TDS will be deducted more and TCS will be collected more.
Don’t think that you can get another PAN card if one PAN card is deactivated. A fine of Rs.10,000 will be charged if a person has more than one PAN card!
